Privacy Policy

keepr ("the app", "we", "us") is a maintenance and lifespan tracker developed by MFaran, an independent developer. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using keepr you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and display name. Authentication is handled by Google Firebase Authentication.
Your content. Data you enter into the app to use its features, including maintenance tasks, odometer/distance and fuel logs, categories, cost entries, and your in-app preferences (theme, currency, timezone, reminder settings). This is stored in Google Cloud Firestore under your account.
Device push token. To deliver reminder notifications, the app registers a device push token — a per-install identifier provided by Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) — and stores it under your account. It is used solely to send your reminders and is removed when you sign out or delete your account.
Crash and diagnostic data. To keep the app stable, we use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and diagnostic information when the app crashes or encounters an error — such as stack traces, device model, operating system version, and the state of the app at the time. Crash reports are associated with your account identifier so we can investigate issues affecting your account. This data is used only to diagnose and fix problems, and Crashlytics retains it for a limited period (90 days) before it is automatically deleted.
We do not collect: your location, contacts, photos, advertising identifiers, or usage/analytics tracking data. keepr contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
How we use information
- To provide the core service: storing your tasks and syncing them across your devices.
- To send you reminder notifications about upcoming or overdue maintenance. Reminders are delivered as push notifications by our backend (Google Cloud Functions) through Firebase Cloud Messaging to your registered device(s). We do not send marketing messages.
- To authenticate you and secure access to your data.
- To diagnose and fix crashes and errors, using the crash and diagnostic data described above.
How information is stored and shared
Your data is stored using Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, and Crashlytics), which acts as our data processor. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and access is restricted to your authenticated account by security rules. Your device push token is transmitted to Firebase Cloud Messaging solely to deliver your reminder notifications.
We do not sell your personal information and do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. Data is processed only by Google Firebase to operate the app. See Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Data retention and deletion
Your data is retained while your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time, permanently removing your account and all your tasks, logs, categories, and cost entries:
- In the app: Settings → Account → Delete account.
- On the web (no app install needed): sign in at https://keepr-17dd0.web.app/delete-account and confirm deletion. Deletion takes effect immediately.

Children
keepr is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
